Description: Medium bodied with red on the rim. Blackcurrant, plums, menthol, mocha and capsicum on the nose. The palate had rich briary fruit with good length, spice and fine tannins. A beautifully made wine drinking at its best.

492.Is it possible for a wine to smell and taste of a place? Yes. Bertanis Villa Novare Valpolicella Classico 2004 takes me to Italy in a sip. Earth, black plum, and mixed ripe forest fruit.
